QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Here is a list of questions that we have been asked over the years that you may find useful..
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO SET UP?
It usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half depending on how easy the access is to the venue and what size setup is used. We always allow plenty of time to get there and get set up for your function. We can also setup earlier if required, just ask when you book.
THE VENUE HAS ASKED FOR PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE AND P.A.T TESTING, WHAT IS THIS AND DO YOU HAVE IT?
We have full public liability insurance, and we can supply a copy of the certificate if required by the venue. P.A.T testing is a test done on all the elctrical equipment we use, to ensure it is in safe and good condition, this is done once a year and again if required a copy can be given to the venue if required.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU HAVE EQUIPMENT FAILURE ON THE NIGHT?
Although we use professional equipment, like everything can break from time to time. So we do carry with us backup to ensure we will have the music playing and the dancefloor rocking as soon as we can, and your party will continue as normal.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR ILL ON THE DAY OF OUR BOOKING?
If in the unlikely event that we are ill, we do have several Dj's, and we have a huge Dj network, so we should be able to get your booking covered, and your party will go on as planned.
DO YOU SEND OUT CONTRACTS, AND CONFIRM IN WRITING OUR BOOKING?
Once you have decided to book with us, we will send out a logon/password to your online account, here you can e-sign a contract with us, request any music, and pay your non-refundable deposit to hold and ensure your booking with us. This gives you and us peace of mind everything is booked, and we turn up when we say we will and you get the party you want. There are lots of Dj's out there, so make sure you book a professional, rather than someone who just says i'll see you then over the phone with no other contact.
DO YOU OFFER CONSULTATION REGARDING THE MUSIC FOR OUR WEDDING?
Yes, if required we can meet the bride and groom before the wedding, and discuss the music entertainment, and any playlists, first dance, and if you require any special requirements from us. E.g Need us to work along side a band, or you may require us to supply background music for the wedding breakfast, or require a P.A system to use for speeches.
CAN WE MEET THE DJ BEFORE THE BOOKING TO DISCUSS MUSIC ETC?
Yes this is not a problem, if you would like to meet the Dj before your party to discuss anything just lest us know.
CAN WE SUPPLY SONGS FOR YOU TO PLAY, OR BRING A CD WITH US FOR YOU TO PLAY?
We are very happy to work from a pre - chosen playlist selected by you. Its now so simple, just logon to your account, go to music request section and start adding your requests, we can even supply a seperate logon password for your guests to login and make any requests too, dont worry you get to see them and approve them before the party. And just incase we dont have your requests, we will ensure we will get them before the night. (There is a 5 day block on your account before the function date to give us time to sort any requests for the party)
HOW WILL OUR DJ BE DRESSED?
Your Dj will be smartley dressed depending on the occasion, But standard dress code is smart for us, so usually trousers and a shirt.
WHAT IS A FAIR AVERAGE PRICE FOR A DJ FOR MY WEDDING?
If your looking for Dj and have been phoning around for quotes you can probably see there is a huge difference in quotes. why? Well in our experience you do get what you pay for. For an example there are lots of Dj's out there that are not insured, or have professional equipment, and yes you can get a good cheap deal, but you are probably risking wether they turn up on the night or not, or what service you will be getting. The national average for a wedding DJ for the evening is around £400, and with the average wedding now costing around £20,000, a professional DJ is money well spent to entertain you and your guests for 4 to 5 hours on your special day.
